Emergency2.0
Winner of the Systems GmbH challenge
Emergency 2.0 is a new attempt at improving the current weaknesses of emergency centers. According to Wikipedia, 70% of all 911 calls are from mobile devices. These devices often don't have accurate location data available and can make hamper rescue efforts. By adding video stream communication and transmission of reliable GPS data, we can help people in need and hopefully save lives. Devices like Google Glass allow the dispatcher to get a better idea of the accident scene and organize rescue efforts. Wearables like Apple Watch constantly monitor the user's heart rate and can automatically call emergency centers in case of a stroke or heart failure. Emergency 2.0 is our vision of how emergency centers should work in a sustainable and modern future and hopefully we can help people in danger.
