Energy awareness in buildings

Our team decided to work on the Matrycs Project. We focused on the second dataset. After cleaning up the data we opted to use a forecasting model (LSTM) for time-series analysis and validated the process. Afterwards, we designed the UX/UI of a webapp which we called “Eco-visualization”. It uses data collected by Matrycs to predict models that improve the energy performance of buildings. Users can upload their own Data Set to visualize the energy consumption of their building. The application stores enhanced projects of previous users to show possibly improvements using Big Data in buildings. Once the forecast model is generated, the user can share the results with the clients, increasing awareness and knowledge of energy and economic savings.
